The R.C. denotes the Regular Carbine configuration, featuring a 20-inch barrel secured by two barrel bands and a full-length tubular magazine with a 5+1 capacity. The receiver is the side-eject, flat-top pattern and is drilled and tapped for optics. The blued finish complements a gold-colored trigger and walnut stock.
The barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, and the bore is rated excellent with sharp rifling and a mirror finish. This setup is known for clean, consistent interior surfaces and precise rifling engagement.
Sighting equipment consists of a ramped bead front sight (no hood) and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with elevator. Two-piece scope bases and rings are already installed, and a hammer spur extension is fitted for positive hammer control.
The walnut pistol-grip stock includes sling swivels and a black hard rubber buttplate with a white-line spacer and Marlin logo. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. This carbine was made in the United States in 1961 and reflects the classic 1960s Marlin lever-gun pattern.
