What’s Included
- Winchester Model 06 Standard pump-action rifle
The Model 06 Standard is the Winchester takedown pump derived from the Browning rimfire lineage. This example follows the post-1908 pattern, as indicated by the barrel rollmark for .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle. It uses an under-barrel tubular magazine with a stated 15+1 capacity and a round 20-inch barrel.
Its takedown construction uses a knurled screw on the left side of the receiver for easy separation of the barrel/magazine assembly from the receiver. The rifle wears a blued finish and open sights, including a dovetailed front blade and an open rear sight with a stepped elevator.
The straight-comb, straight-grip walnut stock pairs with a ribbed slide fore-end, and it retains the Winchester-logo hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull measures 12.5 inches, and the rifle uses an exposed hammer.
Factory markings are present, including the barrel rollmark "MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA — WINCHESTER — MODEL 06 — TRADE MARK — 22 S, L OR L.R —" and the top tang marking "WINCHESTER — TRADE MARK — MADE IN U.S.A." Matching serials are observed on the receiver and lower tang; per Cody Firearms Museum guidance, a nearby letter "B" is not part of the serial.
Produced from 1906 to 1932 with approximately 731,862 made in the United States, the Model 06 was later succeeded by the Winchester Model 62. This example aligns with the iconic configuration collectors expect from a New Haven-made Winchester rimfire pump.
