The New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action only revolver chambered in .44 Magnum, built on Ruger's large frame for strength with a six-round, unfluted cylinder. The New Model transfer-bar safety allows safe carry of all six chambers.
Its 7.5 inch alloy steel barrel uses a 1:20" right-hand twist, pairing with adjustable iron sights for precise aiming. The sight set consists of a ramped front blade and an adjustable square-notch rear.
Construction is all alloy steel with a blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. A wide, serrated hammer spur provides positive cocking control, and the revolver is configured as the standard model.
This example dates to the late 1970s (approx. 1978, serial prefix 82-) and is set up with a black rubber one-piece finger-groove grip. It is a full-size revolver configured for classic .44 Magnum performance.
