Cugir MDL. TTC 7.62x25mm Tokarev Pistol, Romanian TT-33 Pattern, Blued Steel, 4.6 in Barrel, CAI Import
This Romanian Cugir MDL. TTC is a Tokarev-pattern, single-action pistol chambered in 7.62x25mm. It features a blued steel frame and slide, fixed sights, and classic TT-33 ergonomics. Notable marks include the C.A.I. Georgia, VT import stamp and a triangle proof/inspection mark.
The frame falls within the XC 437 serial block with a separately stamped year and matching serial on the top of the slide.
Built on the Tokarev design with a self-contained fire-control module, this TTC retains the robust, straightforward construction that makes the platform stand out. The pistol includes ribbed black grips with five-point star RPR medallions and a lanyard loop on the butt. An importer-added manual safety lever is present, consistent with surplus TT-pattern imports.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.
Specific Condition Notes: Scratches and blemishes are present on the frame and slide, with minor pitting noted. The manual safety functions but feels very loose in manipulation. The bore is dark and the rifling shows blemishing; however, the rifling remains deep and clearly present.
What’s Included
- Cugir MDL. TTC 7.62x25mm Tokarev pistol
- 1x 8-round steel single-stack Tokarev TT-33/TTC pattern magazine (witness holes visible)
Romanian manufacture by Cugir places this TTC squarely in the lineage of service-grade TT-33 pattern pistols. Chambered for the 7.62x25mm Tokarev, it uses a short-recoil, locked-breech system with single-action-only operation and an exposed spur hammer.
The pistol is all steel with a uniform blued finish on both frame and slide. Controls include a button-style magazine release behind the trigger guard and an external manual safety in the expected import-modification style. Sighting is classic TT-33 format: a fixed blade front and a fixed notch rear that is integral to the slide.
Grips are ribbed black panels with five-point star RPR medallions, providing a period-correct look and feel. A lanyard loop on the butt supports secure retention. Markings include the C.A.I. Georgia, VT import stamp and a triangle proof/inspection mark.
Collectible identifiers on this example include its XC 437 serial block on the frame with a separately stamped year and matching serial on top of the slide. The magazine is a steel, single-stack TT-33/TTC pattern unit with visible witness holes, and capacity is 8+1.
