The Type B Gen 2 uses the AF-Speedlock recoil system with a straight-travel, non-tilting barrel and a vertical locking block. This configuration is paired with a factory-specified 12 mm low bore axis.
The optics-ready slide features an integral optic cut, front and rear serrations, and a stepped/angled profile. A 4-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover accommodates common weapon lights and accessories. Note that the optic cut cover plate is not present on this example.
Sight picture is provided by fixed iron sights: a dovetailed red fiber-optic front post and a serrated black square-notch rear, with a 6.5 in sight radius. Controls include a left-side push-button magazine release and a flat-faced, striker-fired trigger with a trigger safety.
Construction centers on an internal steel chassis mated to a polymer grip module with aggressive texturing and interchangeable side panels and backstraps. The slide and barrel carry German CIP proofs with "DE CIP" markings and have matching serial numbers. Capacity is 15+1 using the included factory steel magazine.
