The Model 336 R.C. (Regular Carbine) pairs the .35 Rem chambering with a 20 inch barrel and a full-length tubular magazine for a 6+1 capacity. Its side-ejecting, solid-top steel receiver is blued, matching the barrel’s finish for a cohesive, classic carbine profile.
Manufactured in 1968, this carbine carries the JM barrel stamp and the period-correct configuration without a cross-bolt safety. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this example wears a two-piece scope base with rings installed. It retains hallmark details like two barrel bands and a gold-colored trigger.
The barrel features Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling. Iron sights include a ramped bead front and a semi-buckhorn rear. The front sight hood is not installed.
The walnut pistol-grip stock is uncheckered and fitted with sling studs, a white-line spacer, and a Marlin hard-rubber buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, providing a traditional carbine fit.
A Tasco 4x32mm 1" fixed-power scope with a duplex reticle is mounted and capped, offering a straightforward sight picture aligned to the carbine’s handling characteristics.
