This full-size 1911 is built on a proven platform and chambered in .45 ACP with a stated 7+1 capacity. It uses a Government-length 5 inch slide over a standard 1911 bushing. The two-tone configuration combines a matte dark slide with a matte silver frame.
Factory double-diamond checkered wood Crimson Trace Lasergrips with integrated laser modules provide an enhanced grip and include Kimber logo insets. Controls include a single-side manual thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. The mainspring housing is checkered and the front strap is smooth.
The slide is configured with front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port. Sights are fixed, low-profile, and dovetailed, with a dovetailed front blade and a fixed low-profile rear. The pistol uses a commander-style skeletonized hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole, medium-length trigger.
