The LWRC IC-DI pairs LWRCI's IC-series architecture with a direct-impingement, mid-length gas system and a feature-rich 16 in barrel. The IC-DI features LWRCI's MonoForge upper receiver paired with a one-piece modular free-float handguard. The handguard uses the M-LOK interface and covers a low-profile gas block, while a continuous Picatinny top rail with T-mark numbers provides consistent mounting positions across the receiver and handguard.
Its 16 in barrel is spiral fluted, cold hammer forged, and NiCorr treated, combining strength and thermal efficiency with a corrosion-resistant finish. The barrel uses a 1:7 twist to stabilize a wide range of 5.56 NATO projectiles and is threaded at the muzzle with an A2-style flash hider installed.
The fully ambidextrous lower includes the safety selector, bolt catch/release, and magazine release, plus an enlarged trigger guard for gloved use. An ambidextrous charging handle with extended latches and a U.S. flag engraving enhances handling from either side.
Ergonomics and fitment are rounded out by the LWRCI compact adjustable stock with a QD sling socket and a textured polymer pistol grip. The receivers and handguard wear a grey hard-coat anodized finish. Factory specs list the rifle at about 6.6 lb with an overall length of approximately 32–35.25 in.
