The AXIS Compact/Youth configuration provides a shorter 12.7 inch length of pull for a trimmer fit while retaining the proven Savage bolt-action design. The right-hand bolt features a rounded knob for positive control, and the rifle uses the standard AXIS trigger (non-AccuTrigger).
Its 20 inch carbon steel sporter barrel and carbon steel receiver wear a matte black finish. The receiver is drilled and tapped and has two-piece scope bases installed. This rifle is set up as scope-only with no open sights.
The synthetic stock wears Muddy Girl camouflage branding and includes a recoil pad and a rear sling swivel stud. Capacity is stated at 4+1 with the included short-action detachable box magazine.
