The SG22 is built in New Britain, Connecticut, and uses a straightforward blowback-operated semiautomatic action optimized for .22 LR. Its fixed 6 in barrel and short reciprocating slide configuration deliver a long sight radius with a stable barrel assembly, a format chosen by Standard Manufacturing for precise target work.
