The LW-20 designation identifies this as the lightweight, small-frame 20 gauge version of the Model 1100, confirmed by the receiver serial suffix K. It uses Remington's gas-operated semi-automatic action and a cross-bolt safety.
The 28 inch barrel is vent-ribbed and matted, set up with a single front bead. Per the barrel stamp, it is chambered for 2 3/4 inch shells only and fitted with a fixed Mod choke.
