It features a 5.5-inch barrel optimized around suppressed setup training, an extended free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard with a full-length 1913 top rail, and the distinctive Canebrake large-diameter cylindrical muzzle device/shroud. It includes two Magpul PMAG GEN M3 magazines (30- and 40-round) and the SIG Sauer MCX Rattler owner's manual.

The MCX Rattler Canebrake uses a short-stroke gas piston system and a bufferless MCX receiver, providing a compact form factor with a rear 1913 Picatinny interface for compatible stocks or braces. The 5.5-inch barrel is the dedicated .300 BLK configuration associated with Canebrake models.
The extended free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard runs to an uninterrupted, full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail. The Canebrake configuration includes a large-diameter cylindrical muzzle device/shroud that projects slightly beyond the handguard.
Controls are AR-pattern, with a right-side magazine release and a left-side bolt catch. The safety is ambidextrous, and the charging handle is ambidextrous with extended, textured latches for positive manipulation.
The receiver is aluminum with a Flat Dark Earth/Tan finish. Markings include the RATTLER nameplate, "SIG SAUER INC. NEWINGTON NH USA," and "SIG MCX MULTI-CALIBER." This pistol is made in the USA and has a 30+1 capacity in .300 AAC Blackout.
