Smith & Wesson Model 1000 12 Gauge Semi-Auto Shotgun, 26 Inch Vent Rib, Fixed Modified Choke, Japan-Made, Scroll-Engraved Receiver
This Smith & Wesson Model 1000 is a Japan-made, Howa-produced gas-operated autoloader from the 1970s–1980s with factory scroll engraving on its alloy receiver. It features a 26-inch vent-rib barrel with a fixed Modified choke and a 2-3/4 inch chamber. The combination of its pressure-compensating, self-cleaning piston system and well-finished walnut furniture makes this an appealing, well-appointed example of S&W's classic semi-auto shotgun line.
