Built in 1983, this Model 336CS carries the North Haven, Connecticut rollmark and uses a solid, flat-top, side-eject receiver that is drilled and tapped on top with filler screws installed. The configuration is true to the 336CS pattern and pairs well with the period features buyers look for in a mid-1980s Marlin.
The 20" blued barrel uses Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling and is secured with two barrel bands. A full-length tubular magazine provides a 6+1 capacity in .30-30.
Sighting is handled by a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. A cross-bolt safety and smooth lever-action round out the operating controls.
The wood stock has a pistol-grip profile with a black Marlin buttplate and white-line spacer, plus a pistol-grip cap. Length of pull measures 13.5".
Practical upgrades include a knurled hammer spur extension for positive hammer control and a leather rifle sling with quick-detach swivels, both installed.
