Built on the MCX architecture, this rifle uses an internal dual guide-rod recoil system that enables a true side-folding stock while maintaining reliable operation. The stock assembly is skeletonized with a cheek piece, rubberized buttpad, QD sling socket, and a 13.0-inch length of pull.
The short-stroke gas piston system is paired with a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard that includes a gas-adjust window (+/–). A continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail runs the full length of the upper for mounting accessories across the top line.
The factory 16-inch cold hammer-forged carbon steel barrel includes 5/8x24 threads and a pronged flash hider. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, magazine catch, bolt catch, and T-style charging handle. The flat-blade, two-stage match trigger is installed, and the platform accepts most AR-15 triggers.
The receiver set is aluminum with a Coyote Tan anodized finish. Markings include SIG SAUER INC, NEWINGTON, NH USA; SIG MCX MULTI-CALIBER; and the SIG round logo. Magazine not included.
