What’s Included
- Kirikkale Arsenal (K Kale) Model 1938 Long Rifle in 8mm Mauser
Built on a Mauser 98-pattern action, this rifle is cock-on-open with a large non-rotating extractor and a straight bolt handle. It uses a 5-round internal magazine with a listed capacity of 4+1. The wing safety is located on the bolt shroud, consistent with the standard 98-type configuration.
The 29.25-inch barrel and full-length stock with upper handguard reflect the long rifle pattern adopted in Turkey’s M1938 program. Sighting is provided by a tall pyramid front blade on a stud and a rear tangent/ladder sight with a sliding elevation bar.
Turkish military markings include the receiver crest with "T.C." and crescent-and-star over "AS.FA ANKARA K.KALE," and an inspection stamp on the bolt knob. The crest date reads "194x," indicating early-1940s wartime production at Kırıkkale Arsenal.
The hardwood stock features a semi-pistol-grip wrist, full-length profile, sling swivels, and the distinctive buttstock center through-hole with metal grommet typical of K.Kale rifles. Length of pull is listed at 13.0.
