This original Maxus-generation Sporting Golden Clays variant pairs a 30-inch vent-rib barrel and Invector-Plus choke system with Browning's Lightning Trigger and a jeweled bolt. It is chambered for both 2 3/4- and 3-inch shells and was made in Portugal by Browning Viana.

This Sporting Golden Clays model features a satin-nickel receiver with factory scroll engraving, gold-accented clay targets and game birds, and "SPORTING CLAYS" panels on both sides. The receiver top is engraved as well, and the trigger is gold-colored to match the theme.
The 30-inch barrel uses Browning's Invector-Plus choke system and is threaded to accept the included flush choke tubes. A vent rib with a green fiber-optic front bead provides a clear sight reference. The engine-turned (jeweled) bolt is visible at the ejection port.
The semi-automatic, gas-operated Maxus action is paired with Browning's Lightning Trigger. Capacity is 4+1. The shotgun is chambered for 2 3/4- and 3-inch 12-gauge shells.
The stock set is gloss-finished walnut with cut checkering and a recoil pad. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, offering a traditional sporting fit.
