The PS90 configuration delivers a compact overall package with a 13.5 in length of pull and the bullpup's rearward action placement. It is semiautomatic and operates via a closed-bolt, straight-blowback system. Downward ejection and the top-mounted magazine are integral to the design, supporting the platform's 50+1 maximum capacity.
This rifle includes FN's optics housing/carry handle with a low-mount Picatinny top rail for optics and short side rail sections for accessories. The rail placement keeps mounted optics close to the bore line while preserving the PS90's compact handling.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including dual charging handles and a rotary safety in the trigger guard. An aftermarket oversized charging-handle knob is installed on the right side for enhanced purchase and faster manipulation.
The 11.4 in barrel has an exposed threaded muzzle, expanding configuration options for compatible muzzle devices. The matte black polymer monocoque stock/outer shell incorporates integral sling points, including an integrated front sling loop, and provides a durable, lightweight chassis.
