Winchester Model 94 XTR Lander, Wyoming Centennial .30-30 Lever-Action Carbine, 20-Inch (1984) Limited to 400
This Winchester Model 94 XTR is the factory Lander, Wyoming Centennial 1884–1984 commemorative, produced in 1984 as a limited run of 400 units. It features a gold "LANDER CENTENNIAL 1884–1984" barrel inscription, a right-buttstock gold-tone medallion, XTR-grade polish, and checkered walnut. Chambered in .30-30 with a 20-inch round barrel and a blued steel receiver, it is a clean, well-executed commemorative built in New Haven, Connecticut.
The carbine configuration includes a full-length tubular magazine with two barrel bands and a stated 6-round capacity. Sighting is via iron sights with a hooded ramp front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear. The stock is straight-grip walnut with cut checkering and a black buttplate, paired with a gold-tone trigger for a distinctive commemorative presentation.
The receiver is top-eject steel and has plug-screwed drill-and-tap holes on the sides. The barrel is Winchester Proof Steel, and factory markings include "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and "Made in New Haven Conn. U.S.A." The overall finish is blued, consistent with the XTR series’ higher-polish presentation and upgraded wood.
As a factory-engraved commemorative with a very limited production, this Model 94 XTR stands out for its clear Centennial theme, tasteful gold accents, and classic .30-30 carbine configuration. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
