The SIG Sauer SIG522 Classic is a purpose-built .22 LR trainer patterned after the SIG55x/556 family, offering familiar ergonomics with economical rimfire operation. It features a 7075-T6 aluminum upper with an integral full-length Picatinny rail, a glass-filled polymer lower, and an ambidextrous control layout. This example includes both a 50-round drum and a 25-round box magazine, plus the factory hard case and manual.

The SIG522 Classic uses a semi-automatic blowback action in .22 LR and mirrors the handling of the SIG55x/556 series. It is built around a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver with an integral full-length Picatinny rail and a durable glass-filled polymer lower, delivering a robust training platform with familiar controls.
The stock folds to the right and telescopes to adjust length of pull, combining compact storage with quick fitment for different shooters. A polymer pistol grip and ribbed polymer handguard offer secure handling, while the front block includes an integral sling loop for straightforward sling attachment.
The 16" barrel is threaded and fitted with a removable A2-pattern flash suppressor. The handguard features elongated ventilation slots and drilled/tapped holes along the sides and bottom for accessory mounting. No factory iron sights are installed, allowing the user to configure the top rail as desired.
Controls are ambidextrous from the factory, with a two-position safety, right-side charging handle, and right-side ejection. Additional touches include a decorative fore-end, gas-valve-style storage compartment. This rifle ships with one 50-round drum and one 25-round magazine for flexible range use.
