This Spanish Model 1943 short rifle was produced at the Fábrica de Armas de La Coruña and bears a 1953-dated crest on the receiver ring. Chambered in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm), it features a large-ring Mauser 98–pattern action, a 24-inch barrel, and a full-length hardwood stock with grasping grooves. All matching serial numbers 206 are reported, and the rifle remains a representative, unconverted M43 configuration with its cleaning rod present.

The receiver ring is marked "FÁBRICA DE ARMAS – LA CORUÑA – 1953" with the Spanish coat of arms, identifying late La Coruña production. The rifle retains the large-ring Mauser 98–pattern action with a stripper-clip guide and a turned-down bolt left in the white.
Feeding is via an internal, fixed 5-round magazine with a hinged floorplate. Sighting is traditional military pattern with an unhooded front post protected by ears and a tangent/ladder rear sight, pairing well with the 24-inch barrel in 8mm Mauser.
The full-length hardwood stock shows classic M43 features including grasping grooves, a side sling slot with metal liner, sling swivels, and a separate upper handguard. A bayonet lug nose cap is fitted, and the cleaning rod is present. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches.
All matching serial numbers 206 are reported, adding desirable uniformity across the rifle’s numbered components. The rifle wears a blued finish consistent with Spanish service arms of the period and remains an unconverted Model 1943 short rifle in its original 7.92x57mm chambering.
