What’s Included
- Remington Model 510 Targetmaster Standard rifle
The Model 510 Targetmaster was produced from 1939 to 1962, with approximately 558,686 made. This rifle is an early example from August 1939, identified by the "WH" barrel date code. The barrel rollmark reads "Remington Targetmaster Model 510 – .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle" and "Remington Arms Co., Inc., Ilion, N.Y. Made in U.S.A." with a patent numbers line.
The rifle uses a single-shot, bolt-action system with a 1-round capacity. It features a 21-inch blued steel barrel with a recessed crown and open sights: a dovetailed blade/bead front and an open rear leaf with a step elevator. The receiver top is smooth with no scope grooves.
Controls and operating features include a manual safety, a polished round-knob bolt handle, and a red-tipped cocking indicator. Both the barrel and receiver are steel with a blued finish, consistent with the Targetmaster's utilitarian, accuracy-focused design.
The hardwood stock has a straight comb and slight pistol grip, is uncheckered, and wears a black hard-rubber Remington-logo buttplate. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches. A single fore-end/takedown screw secures the action.
