The Model 11-87 Special Purpose uses a gas-operated, semi-automatic action designed for 12 gauge loads, with right-side ejection. It is chambered for both 2 3/4" and 3" shells, providing flexibility across a range of hunting or field loads.
The 26 inch steel barrel is vent-ribbed and set up for interchangeable choke tubes. A flush-mounted Modified choke is installed. A green fiber-optic front bead on the rib provides a clear, fast reference at the muzzle.
Furniture consists of a checkered wood stock with a pistol grip and a matching wood fore-end. The length of pull measures 14.0 inches, and the stock is fitted with a Remington-logo ventilated recoil pad. A rear sling-swivel stud is installed for carry setup.
