Century Arms VSKA Wood 7.62x39 AKM-Pattern Semi-Auto Rifle, US-Made, Threaded Barrel, RAK-1 Trigger, 4x 30-Round Magazines
The Century Arms VSKA Wood is a 100% American-made 7.62x39mm AK-style rifle built around upgraded metallurgy and classic styling. This example pairs a manganese-phosphate finish with American maple furniture and the RAK-1 Enhanced Trigger Group. It uses S7 tool steel for the bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp, and features a threaded muzzle with an AKM-style slant compensator. It accepts standard double-stack AK magazines and comes with four 30-round magazines.
The VSKA was engineered to improve durability in a budget-friendly AK platform by specifying S7 tool steel where it matters most. Factory literature lists a 16.25-inch 4150 chrome-moly barrel; this rifle's recorded barrel length is 16.1 inches. The long-stroke gas piston system, paddle-style magazine release, and manual safety follow the familiar AKM pattern. Markings include "CENTURY ARMS 7.62x39 MM GEORGIA, VT, VSKA" on the receiver.

What's Included
- Century Arms VSKA Wood 7.62x39 semi-automatic rifle
- 4x 30-round polymer AK-pattern magazines (two are coupled together with a magazine coupler)
This VSKA uses a 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver and a carburized 4140 steel bolt, with the bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp made from S7 shock-resistant tool steel. That component set is the core of the VSKA's durability-focused design and is a key differentiator in American-made AKM-pattern rifles.
The barrel is 4150 chrome-moly steel and factory threaded 14x1 mm LH. An AKM-style slant compensator is installed. The rifle wears a manganese-phosphate finish and American maple wood furniture in a blonde tone, including matching wood upper and lower handguards. A rear sling swivel is fitted, and the pistol grip is a black polymer AK-pattern unit.
Sights are traditional AKM: a drift-adjustable front post and a tangent rear sight leaf with elevation graduations. The rifle retains standard AK controls, including a paddle-style magazine release and a right-side manual safety. The RAK-1 Enhanced Trigger Group provides a smooth, light break compared to standard AK triggers.
This rifle accepts standard double-stack AK-pattern magazines and is built on the AKM platform. Overall length is approximately 37.25 inches, with an approximate weight of 7.5 lbs and a 12.8-inch length of pull. No left-side optics side-rail is observed on this example.
Performance notes commonly associated with the VSKA platform indicate reliable function with inexpensive, steel-cased ammunition. Manufacturer markings on this rifle read "CENTURY ARMS 7.62x39 MM GEORGIA, VT, VSKA," and the country of origin is the United States.
