Product Description

Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 Stripped Action, 7.7 Japanese, WWII Kokura-Marked Receiver

This Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 stripped action is a World War II-era receiver from Japan with original Kokura markings. Forged steel construction, a dark gray military finish, and classic Type 99 features make it a solid foundation for Type 99 pattern builds or restoration work. Notable inspection and series markings are present, adding clear provenance to this Kokura-made action.

    Condition

    Overall Condition: Poor condition.

Bore Condition: Not applicable - stripped action; no barrel is present.

Specific Condition Notes: There is surface pitting, along with minor dings and scratches throughout the receiver. This is a gunsmith special and is offered exactly as shown.

    What’s Included

    • Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 stripped action

This Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 stripped action retains a dark gray military finish on the exterior and is built on a large round front receiver ring with an integral recoil lug. The forged steel receiver reflects the robust Type 99 design and is compatible with Type 99 rifle pattern components.

Key Type 99 receiver features are present, including the integral charger/stripper-clip guide machined into the rear bridge and a left-side anti-bind raceway groove. The receiver uses a top-opening ejection/loading port with a fixed ejector slot and provisions for a controlled-feed extractor raceway.

Markings include the Kokura Arsenal symbol (three stacked cannonballs), a circled series mark located before the serial number area, small inspection stamps near the serial, and an inspection stamp on the underside front boss. These stamps identify Kokura production and the WWII-era origin.

The action is bolt-action and cock-on-closing, consistent with the Type 99 pattern. The magazine well cutout with front and rear action screw bosses is intact, and the dark gray military finish remains on the exterior surfaces of the receiver.

This is a Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 stripped action.
