This is the standard long 03-A3 receiver with an integral recoil lug and the large oval loading/ejection port. The receiver ring is roll marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3," and numerous small inspector and production stampings are visible.
The receiver is factory parkerized and made from forged ordnance steel, consistent with wartime Remington 1903A3 manufacture in the United States. One circular gas-escape hole is present on the receiver wall.
Configuration is receiver-only; no barrel, bolt, trigger guard/magazine assembly, or stock is present.
The 1903A3 design uses a magazine cut-off that doubles as a bolt stop with an "ON/OFF" indicator, aligning with standard service-rifle features of the model and era.
