Manufactured by Carl Walther in Germany and marked under license from Colt, this Tactical Rimfire M4 captures key AR-15 characteristics in a dedicated .22 LR platform. It carries DE/CIP German proof marks and Umarex USA import markings, reinforcing its provenance and production quality.
The rifle operates via a semi-automatic blowback system tailored for rimfire reliability. It uses a 16.2-inch barrel with 6-groove rifling and a 1:13.75 RH twist, paired with an A2-pattern birdcage flash suppressor. Stated capacity is 30+1, and one 30-round magazine is included.
Sights and controls follow the M4 pattern: an F-marked A-frame front sight with an elevation-adjustable post and a detachable carry-handle rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation, set on a flat-top Picatinny upper receiver. The right-side magazine release and manual safety selector mirror AR ergonomics. The forward assist and external bolt-catch paddle are cosmetic; last-shot hold-open is handled internally via the magazine interface.
Furniture includes carbine-length, two-piece M4-style polymer handguards and a 6-position telescoping polymer stock with an approximate 10.5–14 inch length of pull. An installed clamp-on barrel rail block supports the included barrel-mounted weaponlight, adding practical utility without altering the rifle’s core M4 profile.
