This Ruger Precision Rifle Gen 2 in 6.5 Creedmoor stands out with an aftermarket U.S.-flag themed hydro-dip applied to both the rifle and the included optic. It comes set up with a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP scope in a Burris P.E.P.R. one-piece mount on Ruger’s factory 20 MOA Picatinny scope base. The 24-inch cold hammer-forged, heavy-contour 5R barrel is threaded 5/8x24 with a 1:8 RH twist, and the bore is reported bright and clean. It is a feature-rich Gen 2 chassis rifle with the refinements shooters expect and notable long-range capability.

Gen 2 updates on this Ruger Precision Rifle include a billet aluminum bolt shroud and the proven 3-lug bolt with a 70-degree throw and an in-line recoil path. Ruger’s multi-magazine interface accepts AICS and SR-25/DPMS/Magpul pattern magazines, and one 10-round PMAG LR/SR Gen M3 is included.
The 24-inch barrel is 4140 chrome-moly steel, cold hammer-forged with 5R rifling, heavy-contour, and threaded 5/8x24. It uses a 1:8 RH twist suited to common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights. The free-float KeyMod handguard is configured without a full-length top rail to provide large-objective scope clearance.
The folding chassis stock offers adjustable cheek height, adjustable buttpad, and adjustable length of pull, with a listed LOP of 14.0 inches. An AR-style safety selector and AR-style pistol grip provide familiar controls. The bag rider includes a lower Picatinny rail for rear support accessories. The typical unscoped weight is about 10.6 lb.
Optics are well-supported by the factory 20 MOA Picatinny scope base. The mounted Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 FFP features a Christmas tree-style grid reticle and is secured in a Burris P.E.P.R. one-piece mount. Both the rifle and the optic wear an aftermarket U.S.-flag themed hydro-dip that gives the package a cohesive look.
