This Eclipse Custom II showcases the series' signature two-tone look: brushed stainless flats with dark matte rounds on both slide and frame. The stainless steel construction provides the platform for the Eclipse aesthetic, with slide markings "ECLIPSE CUSTOM II" and frame markings "KIMBER YONKERS NY USA" denoting its production era.
It is configured as a traditional full-size 1911 with a 5 inch match-grade barrel and a standard barrel bushing. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a grip safety with a beavertail and memory bump, and the Series II firing-pin safety (Swartz-type). Front-strap checkering enhances purchase at the grip.
The slide is cut with front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered and flared ejection port. Sights are a three-dot set with a dovetailed front dot and a fully adjustable two-dot rear, allowing precise elevation and windage tuning.
Performance parts include a skeletonized commander-style hammer and a skeletonized, three-hole match-grade trigger.
