The Garrison series delivers a classic Government-size 1911 format in 9mm with forged construction. This example uses a forged carbon-steel slide and frame with a hot-salt blued finish, matched to a forged stainless, match-grade barrel that is ramped and fully supported with a 1:16 twist.
It follows the traditional 5" bushing-barrel setup with a GI-style short guide rod and plug. The slide features rear cocking serrations only, a lowered and flared ejection port, and low-profile fixed 3-dot sights with white-dot front and rear blades.
Controls include a single-action operation with a skeletonized 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Safety features are a single-side extended thumb safety and an upswept beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. The flat, checkered mainspring housing pairs with a smooth front strap.
Thinline double-diamond checkered wood grip panels with Springfield Armory medallions complete the package. Capacity is 9+1, and dimensions measure 8.6" in overall length and 5.5" in height, with a listed weight of 38 oz. Slide markings include "GARRISON" and the Springfield crest, and the frame is marked "S. Geneseo, IL USA."
