The Springfield Armory XD-E stands out as the only hammer-fired DA/SA member of the XD family, pairing a compact 3.3 inch barrel with proven carry-ready features. Built by HS Produkt in Croatia for Springfield Armory and discontinued in December 2021, this example includes two factory single-stack magazines, the original case and manual, and a factory test target. It features Springfield’s Low Effort Slide design, a forged steel slide with a Melonite finish, and ambidextrous controls.

This XD-E uses a hammer-fired DA/SA system with an ambidextrous safety/decocker, enabling decocked double-action or cocked-and-locked carry. The trigger offers second-strike capability, and a loaded chamber indicator provides a quick visual and tactile status check.
Construction highlights include a forged steel slide with a Melonite finish and a 3.3 inch hammer-forged barrel that is also Melonite treated, paired with a 1:10 twist. The black polymer frame features Grip Zone textured panels, and the external skeletonized hammer and external extractor complete the package.
Springfield’s Low Effort Slide concept is combined with a dual captive recoil spring and a full-length guide rod. Capacity is 9+1, and this pistol comes with both a compact 8-round magazine and an extended 9-round magazine to tailor grip length and capacity to the task.
Sight regulation comes from a red fiber-optic front and a dovetailed white-dot rear, using the XD-S-pattern dovetail. The dustcover has a single-slot accessory rail for a light or laser. Marked "SI Geneseo, IL" and "Made in Croatia," this model was manufactured by HS Produkt for Springfield Armory and is listed under part number XDE9339BE. The XD-E series was discontinued in December 2021.
