The 4-inch barrel uses a full-length underlug for added weight along the bore axis. A matte anti-glare topstrap and rib complement the ramped, serrated front sight and the fully adjustable square-notch rear sight, supporting precise sight alignment.
Construction is polished blued carbon steel, including a polished blued cylinder, paired with black rubber finger-groove grips wearing Taurus medallions. The hammer and trigger show a color-casehardened appearance, and the trigger is a smooth-face style.
Markings include TAURUS INT. MFG., MIAMI, FL – USA; MADE IN BRAZIL; and the Taurus bull logo. The yoke/crane is stamped "66" with an assembly number, and the revolver was imported by Taurus International Mfg., Miami, Florida.
