Marlin Original Golden-39M Mountie .22 LR Lever Action, 20 in Micro-Groove Barrel, 1977 (front sight hood not present; rear sight broken/missing)
This 1977 Marlin Original Golden-39M Mountie is a classic American-made .22 lever action with a 20 in Micro-Groove steel barrel and a takedown design. It runs a full-length tubular magazine with 15+1 capacity and is chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle. The bore is clean with sharp rifling, and the carbine configuration features a straight-grip stock, blued steel construction, and a gold-tone trigger.
The Mountie submodel pairs a compact 20 in barrel with a carbine-style fore-end and straight-grip stock, giving it a handy profile while retaining the traditional Marlin feel. The stock includes a white-line spacer and a hard buttplate, with a 13.5 in length of pull.
Its Micro-Groove barrel is designed for rimfire accuracy, and this example retains open sights with a ramped front (front sight hood not present) and a rear sight that is broken/missing. The action is smooth and familiar, and the tubular magazine supports a wide range of .22 rimfire loads for flexibility.
A right-side receiver screw enables quick takedown for transport or cleaning. The blued steel receiver and barrel match the period-correct finish, and the gold-tone trigger adds a distinctive Original Golden touch. Made in the United States, it comes set up with installed sling swivels and a leather sling.
