The ZIG M1 follows the classic Government pattern with a 5" barrel and the standard 1911 bushing and plug system. It uses the traditional short-recoil, tilting-barrel operation and a single-stack 9mm 1911 magazine interface, delivering a 10+1 capacity.
Both the slide and frame are steel with a matte silver/gray finish. The slide has vertical rear serrations only, with no front serrations, and a standard slide stop. Controls include a checkered magazine release, a left-side manual thumb safety, and a grip safety.
Sights are the fixed GI-pattern: a ramped front and a square-notch rear. The fire-control setup features a short, solid trigger and a rowel (Commander-style) hammer. The front strap is smooth, paired with a vertically serrated mainspring housing for traditional 1911 handling.
Factory and import markings are present and legible, including the TISAS Knoxville TN importer mark, ZIG M1 TISAS Made in TURKEY on the dust cover underside, Made in Turkey, and the CAL 9mm LUGER chamber marking. The installed pearlescent white synthetic grips give the pistol a distinctive visual contrast.
