The Diamondback is built on Colt's D-frame with a six-shot fluted cylinder and swing-out crane, chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The 6 inch barrel features a ventilated rib with rectangular lightening slots and a full-length underlug/ejector-rod shroud with a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive operation.
Target-style sights include a pinned ramp front sight and a fully adjustable rear sight (Accro-style), offering fine elevation and windage control. Colt's rearward-pull cylinder latch and a hammer-mounted firing pin complete the classic control layout.
Constructed from carbon steel with a high-polish blued finish, this revolver wears checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. Factory rollmarks are crisp: the left side of the barrel reads "DIAMONDBACK .22 LONG RIFLE." and the right side reads "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO.
HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." The Colt prancing pony logo is present on the left frame.
