This Sako AV Deluxe is a Finnish-made, long-action .30-06 from the 1980s with classic Deluxe features and factory engraving. It pairs a polished blued finish and 23-inch sporter barrel with a high-gloss walnut Monte Carlo stock. The receiver includes Sako's integral tapered dovetail rails, and dovetail rings are included for mounting.
The Deluxe configuration stands out with skip-line checkering, a contrasting fore-end tip and grip cap with black spacers, and a Sako red recoil pad with grip-cap medallion. Factory scroll and animal-motif engraving highlights the floorplate and bolt handle, accented by silver-tone inlay. Finnish proofs and Stoeger, N.J. import markings are present.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: The high-gloss walnut stock shows small blemishes and scratches in the varnish. The metal surfaces have minor handling marks with a few infrequent, very small areas of pinprick pitting.

The AV is Sako's long-action from the A-series and is chambered here in .30-06. It features a 23-inch sporter-contour barrel and a polished blued finish throughout, with no open sights. The receiver bridges carry anti-glare checkering and Sako's integral tapered dovetail scope-mounting rails; matching dovetail rings are included.
The Deluxe walnut stock is finished in a high-gloss varnish and fitted with a Monte Carlo rollover cheekpiece. Skip-line checkering, contrasting fore-end tip and grip cap with black spacers, a Sako red recoil pad, a grip-cap medallion, and sling swivel studs round out the factory appointments. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
The bolt-action uses a polished bolt body with two front locking lugs and a two-position safety lever. It feeds from an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and a 5-round capacity. The bolt handle root is stamped with the last three digits of the serial as a Sako production detail.
Factory engraving includes scroll and animal motifs on the floorplate and bolt handle, with silver-tone inlay. Markings include Finnish proof marks on the receiver and barrel, the MADE IN FINLAND barrel legend, and an IMP'D BY STOEGER INC. N.J. import mark, confirming U.S. importation and Finnish proofing.
