The H017BDM birdshead model pairs a polished blued steel frame, cylinder, and barrel with a polished hardened brass grip frame/trigger guard. The smooth American walnut birdshead grips wear Henry medallions, giving this revolver a distinctive look and secure in-hand feel without adding bulk.
Its DA/SA action uses a transfer bar safety, a smooth trigger, and an exposed hammer with a checkered spur. The six-shot cylinder swings out to the left and is managed by a push-forward cylinder release on the left side. A quick-release cylinder/crane removal button is positioned at the front of the trigger guard for fast, tool-free maintenance.
The 4-inch round-profile blued barrel features a 1:16 rifling twist. Sighting is straightforward and durable: a fixed rear notch integral to the topstrap and an interchangeable screw-on front post with high, medium, and low options to fine-tune point of impact.
