It features the open-top slide with locking-block operating system, ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, and a durable Bruniton finish. It comes with three 12-round steel magazines and the complete factory packaging.

The Mod. 96A1 combines Beretta’s aluminum-alloy frame with an open-top, Bruniton-finished slide and a short-recoil, locked-breech system. The DA/SA trigger, external spurred hammer, and ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker with firing pin block provide familiar Beretta controls in a .40 S&W package.
A1-series enhancements include an integral three-slot MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail, an internal frame recoil buffer, and a captive recoil spring assembly. The removable, dovetailed 3-dot sights allow windage adjustment and straightforward serviceability.
Capacity is 12+1, and this example includes three factory steel magazines. The pistol features a 4.9 in barrel, an overall length of approximately 8.54 in, and an unloaded weight of about 33.3 oz, delivering a balanced full-size profile.
