Notably, it is designed without a magazine-disconnect safety and has revised feed-ramp geometry for modern ammunition. The SA-35 follows the proven High Power pattern and is identified here as the HP9201 blued variant. The slide is forged steel with an external extractor, and the frame is forged carbon steel, both finished in a uniform blued color. Factory markings read "Springfield Armory – Model SA-35 – Geneseo, IL" with "SI GENESEO IL USA" on the frame.
The 4.7 in cold hammer forged barrel and 1:10 twist support consistent performance. A single-action trigger, rowel (ring) hammer, and a thumb safety reflect the classic operating system. Revised feed-ramp geometry is designed for modern ammunition, and the pistol omits a magazine-disconnect safety by design.
Sighted with a dovetailed white-dot front and a serrated tactical rack-style rear, this SA-35 offers a clear, snag-resistant sight picture. A beveled magazine well aids reloads, and checkered walnut grips provide a traditional look and positive purchase.
