The rifle is built around a 34.5-inch octagonal blued steel barrel with rifling, paired with fixed iron sights: a brass blade front and a fixed rear notch. The action is a traditional single-shot flintlock with a single trigger and a 13.75-inch length of pull, delivering the familiar handling and sight picture expected from a Kentucky-pattern rifle.
Furniture is brass throughout, including the buttplate, nose cap, and ramrod pipes, and the full-length walnut stock incorporates a finial-pattern patchbox.
