Product Description

Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket .25 ACP, 1912 Early Production, 2-inch Barrel, Micro Size, 6+1

This early-production Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket stands out with a 1912 manufacture date and the desirable original configuration without a magazine-disconnect safety. Designed by John M. Browning, it features classic factory markings, verified proof and inspection stamps, and the compact 2-inch barrel that defined Colt's micro .25 ACP. It is a clean, collectible example with period-correct details throughout.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: Light surface rust is present from previous handling and use. Factory slide legends, proof, and inspection marks remain visible. The bore is bright and clean.

    What’s Included

    • One single-column steel 6-round magazine for Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket .25 ACP

Built on a carbon steel frame with black checkered hard rubber grips, this 1908 Vest Pocket retains hallmark features collectors look for. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE 25," and the left side carries patent dates through Jan. 25, 1910. The triangle "VP" Colt Verified Proof appears on the left trigger-guard bow, with an inspector "B" stamp on the trigger-guard web.

The micro-size layout pairs a 2-inch barrel with an approximate 4.5-inch overall length, chambered in .25 ACP with a 6+1 capacity. It uses a simple blowback, striker-fired, single-action system, reflecting Browning's compact pocket-pistol design approach of the 1910s.

Controls are period-correct: a heel-type magazine release, manual safety, and grip safety. The slide includes rear vertical serrations, a takedown alignment mark, and a safety notch that can hold the slide to the rear for disassembly. The ejection port is on the right side.

Sighting is straightforward and true to the model, with fixed open sights consisting of a half-moon front and a rear groove. The package exemplifies the early production configuration by omitting the later magazine-disconnect safety, adding appeal for collectors seeking original-spec examples.
