The MDRX SE configuration provides side ejection and fully ambidextrous controls, including charging handles, safety selectors, and magazine release. The bullpup layout delivers a compact overall length while maintaining a full-length barrel. The platform uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a six-position adjustable gas regulator for tuning across conditions.
Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, this rifle is built around a 20 inch free-floating barrel with a 1:8 twist. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a multi-port pronged brake. The setup supports consistency and recoil management, with the free-float design paired to a robust aluminum handguard.
The installed BLK LBL Mantis handguard integrates a folding bipod that stows flush inside the handguard, preserving balance and handling. Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum, it adds rigidity and a clean profile while keeping the bipod immediately accessible when needed.
A monolithic 12-o'clock Picatinny top rail provides continuous mounting space along the upper. The rifle accepts SR-25/LR-308 pattern magazines, and this example includes four 20-round Magpul PMAG LR/SR Gen M3 magazines. The chassis features a durable polymer frame, and the receiver is manufacturer marked West Valley City, Utah, USA.
The MDRX architecture is modular and multi-caliber capable with user-swappable components. This example is currently configured in 6.5 Creedmoor and Side-Eject (SE), combining the platform’s modularity with a proven gas system and practical ambidextrous ergonomics.
