The HK VP9L Optics Ready is the long-slide, full-size 9mm in the VP9 series, made in Germany and proofed in 2023 (CD date code). This example adds a factory optics-ready slide with adapter plates, tall iron sights, and an installed flared magazine-well funnel. It ships with four steel magazines, including a 20-round unit, and retains German proof and import markings from HK-USA in Columbus, GA.

Made in Germany, this VP9L OR carries German DE, CIP N, and Ulm stag antler proof marks along with the CD (2023) date code. It bears the HKI – Columbus GA import mark and was imported by HK-USA. The legal serial number appears on the barrel, slide, and frame; an underside import plate shows a different number.
The long slide features lightening cuts and an optics cut with cover plate. The optics-ready system uses HK adapter plates, and the tall iron sights pair a black square-notch rear with a tall front blade that has a green luminescent dot for visibility.
The cold-hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling and an O-ring at the muzzle for consistent lock-up. The striker-fired action is part of the VP9 series design, delivering the full-size VP9L configuration in 9mm Luger.
Ergonomics and controls include ambidextrous slide releases and a paddle-style ambidextrous magazine release. Interchangeable backstraps and side panels are included to tailor the grip, and a MIL-STD-1913/Picatinny dust-cover rail provides space for accessories. Capacity is 20+1 with the included 20-round magazine, and this pistol includes three 17-round steel magazines as well. A flared magazine-well funnel is installed to guide reloads.
