The pistol is the original-series Ruger LCP (not LCP II or MAX), catalog 3701 / SKU 03701, chambered in .380 ACP with a 2.75 in barrel and 6+1 capacity. Its micro size makes it exceptionally slim at 0.82 in wide and approximately 9.4 oz in weight.
It is double-action-only and hammer-fired, using an external, flush-profile hammer. The trigger is single-strike DAO and requires cycling the slide for restrike. The magazine release is on the left side. The slide can be locked open manually; there is no last-round hold-open.
Construction includes an alloy steel barrel and a blued slide and finish paired with a black glass-filled nylon frame. The black polymer grip panels feature Ruger phoenix medallions. There is no accessory rail.
Sighting is straightforward with integral, non-dovetailed fixed sights: a low-profile blade front and a rear notch. The pistol is marked RUGER • MAYODAN, NC • USA, and is made in the USA.
