This Italian-made Beretta 8000 Cougar D is the DAO variant of the compact Cougar series, featuring the rotating-barrel locked-breech system and no slide-mounted safety/decocker. It includes two 15-round steel magazines and both installed white grip panels with Beretta medallions and the original black checkered polymer grips. Italian proof marks and a Beretta U.S.A., Accokeek, MD import mark are present.

Made in Italy, this pistol bears Italian proof marks including PSF and the proof-house crest. It is import-marked by Beretta U.S.A. Corp., Accokeek, MD.
