It features forged steel construction with a hot salt blued finish, a forged match-grade stainless barrel with a fully supported ramp, and classic 3-dot dovetailed sights. This example is in excellent condition and includes three 9-round magazines and original packaging.

The Garrison 4.25" configuration places a commander-length slide and 4.25" barrel on a full-size frame, delivering a traditional 1911 profile with a slightly shorter top end. The forged carbon steel frame and slide wear a blued finish with polished flats and matte rounds, and the slide uses rear cocking serrations only with a lowered ejection port.
Its forged, match-grade stainless steel barrel uses a bushing system and a fully supported ramp with a 1:16 twist, complemented by a GI-style recoil system with a short guide rod and plug. These features provide a classic 1911 operating setup in 9mm.
Controls and ergonomics include a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, a single-side thumb safety, a lightweight three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style ring hammer. Thinline double-diamond wood grips with Springfield Armory medallions complete the traditional look and feel.
Sighting is via low-profile 3-dot units: a dovetailed white-dot front and a dovetailed 2-dot rear. Capacity is 9+1. Overall dimensions are 7.9" long and 5.5" tall, with a weight of 34 oz. The frame is marked "SI GENESEO IL USA," and this 9mm blued variant is identified as PX9417. The 4.25" Garrison models were added to the lineup in 2024 and are produced in the USA.
