What's Included
- Antonio Zoli & Co. Remington Model 1863 "Zouave" .58 caliber percussion muzzleloader rifle
Antonio Zoli & Co. built this accurate reproduction of the Remington Model 1863 "Zouave" rifle and it was imported by Navy Arms. It follows the classic two-band layout with brass hardware, including the buttplate, patchbox, trigger guard with sling swivel, barrel bands, and nosecap, delivering the look and feel of the Civil War-era pattern.
The rifle is chambered in .58 caliber and is marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY." It uses a single-shot percussion muzzleloading action with an external hammer and a capacity of one round. The barrel measures approximately 32.5 inches and is made of steel, while the hardwood stock has a glossy finish and a 13.5-inch length of pull.
Sighting equipment consists of iron sights: a blade front on a block and a leaf-style rear that is elevation-adjustable. Sling swivels are fitted at the front and rear, matching the traditional service-rifle configuration and supporting field carry.
Markings include Italian proof stamps at the breech, the "PN" proof, and the Gardone oval proof. The barrel is marked "ANTONIO ZOLI & Co. MADE IN ITALY," "58 Caliber," and "BLACK POWDER ONLY." The lockplate carries an eagle motif over "NAVY ARMS Co.," highlighting its import heritage and faithful presentation.
