Built by Remington in 1943, this M1903A3 reflects the simplified wartime pattern with stamped components and a matte military finish. The receiver ring is marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3," and the action uses the familiar turn-bolt with a straight bolt handle and bolt-shroud wing safety.
The rifle has been sporterized with a shortened fore-end that terminates well short of the muzzle. The bayonet band and lug have been removed, leaving a clean single barrel band configuration.
