The Comanchero configuration combines an 18-inch blued octagonal barrel with a full-length magazine tube for a compact, well-balanced carbine. The receiver and lever wear a case color hardened finish, and a blued steel forend cap ties together the classic, period-correct look. A top-mounted sliding dust cover caps the action.
Sighting is handled by a dovetailed front blade and a semi-buckhorn rear sight with a stepped elevator, providing a clean, traditional sight picture. The rifle holds 10+1 rounds of .357 Magnum and uses a smooth, lever-action mechanism consistent with the Model 1873 pattern.
Furniture includes a checkered walnut forend and a checkered, pistol-grip walnut buttstock, with a length of pull of 13.0. A leather buttstock cover and a leather lever wrap are installed and included. These elements complement the rifle’s controlled handling and classic style.
Made in Italy by A. Uberti and imported by Taylor's & Co., this rifle bears Italian proof and inspection marks on the underside of the receiver, along with the importer/barrel stamp: "TAYLOR'S & CO. WINCHESTER VA - A. UBERTI ITALY." It is a faithful reproduction of the Model 1873 in the Comanchero configuration.
