The carbine features an 18.5 in unthreaded, cold hammer-forged alloy steel barrel secured by Ruger’s V-block system. Sighting is via a gold bead ramp front and a folding adjustable leaf rear, with a traditional hardwood stock and barrel band. The barrel band includes a swivel mount.
Ruger’s detachable 10/22-pattern rotary magazine system is complemented here by the included 25-round BX-25, yielding a 25+1 capacity. Controls include a right-side charging handle, a cross-bolt safety, and an extended paddle-style magazine release for straightforward magazine changes.
The receiver is rollmarked RUGER • NEWPORT • NH • USA and the rifle is made in the USA. Length of pull is 13.5 in, and the factory Weaver/22 tip-off scope base is already installed should you wish to add an optic while retaining the open sights.
